A: Upon registration you will pay a $300 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit to reserve your spot on the squad. After your initial deposit, you can either pay the full amount or make monthly payments. Depending on what your preferences are for a room (single, double, triple or quad) your total would be divided into monthly payments depending upon when you register. For example if your cost is $2,999 and you deposit $300, your remaining balance is $2,699. You will then make monthly payments on the 1st day of each month (you can set that up through our Online credit card payment portal) with the final payment due in our office by April 16 of the year of the trip. You can either pay by check or utilize our Online secure credit card payment system. Please note there is a small additional convenience fee associated with the Online credit card system. After April 16 of the trip year we can not guarantee spots will still be available or that the pricing structure will remain the same as flights, etc. can and do change price points.
Q: Are there scholarships available?
A: Coach Terry Waldrop was an NCAA Division I Basketball Coach and also an NCAA Compliance Director and Athletic Director. He is very aware of the rules regarding scholarship assistance and as director of Paradise Sports would never do anything to endanger the eligibility of student athletes. The Flying Hawaiian Classics (nor anyone else) is not allowed under amateurism rules to provide any type of scholarship to student athletes.
Q: What type of fundraising programs do you have to help me raise the money?
A: The Aloha Challenge T-Shirt fundraiser is outstanding and you could pay for your entire trip using the system. You sell Official Flying Hawaiian T-Shirts for $25 each to friends and relatives who want to support you. We get you the shirts for $10, so you make $15 on each shirt sold. For example if you are staying in a quad room and you sell 200 shirts your trip is paid for. This fundraiser works exceptionally well.
